{"id":5283,"date":"2018-09-18T14:23:25","date_gmt":"2018-09-18T14:23:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.beer-syndicate.com\/blog\/?p=5283"},"modified":"2019-05-14T19:29:37","modified_gmt":"2019-05-14T19:29:37","slug":"analysis-hangover-cures-three-sheets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beersyndicate.com\/blog\/analysis-hangover-cures-three-sheets\/","title":{"rendered":"Analysis of the Hangover Cures from <em>Three Sheets<\/em>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">If you\u2019ve never heard of the drinking\/travel show <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Three_Sheets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Three Sheets<\/em>,<\/a> <\/span>well, not to oversell it, but it is very likely the greatest drinking show.\u00a0 <u>Ever<\/u>.\u00a0 Over the course of four seasons (52 episodes), endearingly witty host <em>Zane Lamprey<\/em> (a.k.a. \u201cThe Guinea Pig of Booze\u201d) traversed the globe and imbibed in everything from a majestic $10,000 bottle of 50-year-old scotch in Scotland, to snake penis wine in Taiwan.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5267\" style=\"width: 486px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beersyndicate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Three-Sheets-Logo.png\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5267\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-5267\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beersyndicate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Three-Sheets-Logo-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5267\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">[Three Sheets Logo]<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(By the way, if you missed the original series run, you can find it on YouTube, Hulu, etc.\u00a0 And if you\u2019re thirsty for <u>new episodes<\/u>, you\u2019re in luck because <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ZaneLamprey\/videos\/three-sheets\/10155490780638635\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em><u>Three Sheets is coming back!<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em>)<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p><!--CusAds0-->\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Of course, being a dedicated drinking diplomat usually comes at a price which is customarily paid in the form of a hangover.\u00a0 But with almost every new hangover came a hangover cure&#8212; some more effective than others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">That said, sometimes the actual effectiveness of the hangover cures presented on the show was a bit vague.\u00a0 But we did our homework, and it turns out that there\u2019s actually a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0345511581\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0345511581&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=wwwbeersyndic-20&amp;linkId=b1da8b68a0e0a293d9ab4ec199c31e37\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Three Sheets<\/em> book (4.5\/5 stars on Amazon)<\/a><\/span> that offered more clarity. \u00a0So in the spirit of thoroughness, we\u2019ll take a look at the hangover cures\/remedies listed on the show and book.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(If you&#8217;re curious what caused the hangover in each episode, check out our quasi episode guide called <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.beersyndicate.com\/blog\/every-hangover-cure-three-sheets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Every Hangover Cure from <\/span><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Three Sheets<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Analysis of the Hangover Cures from <em>Three Sheets <\/em>(T.V. Show)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">We\u2019re going to keep this analysis pretty simple and only look at four things: <strong>(1)<\/strong> the hangover cure from a given episode, <strong>(2)<\/strong> the country\/city with which the cure is associated, <strong>(3)<\/strong> the cultural accuracy of the cure, and <strong>(4)<\/strong> the cure\u2019s effectiveness.\u00a0 To be fair, in cases where we were unable to confirm the cultural accuracy of a given hangover cure, it doesn\u2019t necessarily mean it\u2019s not culturally accurate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Also, it should go without saying that the effectiveness of a given hangover cure is purely based on Zane\u2019s personal experience, so your mileage may vary. \u00a0In addition, not every episode of <em>Three Sheets<\/em> contains a hangover cure either because no hangover was reported, as with the Japan and Greece episodes, or simply because none was given, as with the episodes for London, New York, Vince, Barcelona, Saigon, Cognac, Lithuania, and Barbados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Lastly, we didn\u2019t list the hangover cure for the Poland episode (splashing around at an indoor waterpark) mainly because Zane pointed out that getting in water was one of his <em>personal<\/em> hangover cures and it was therefore not directly linked to that particular country.\u00a0 (This might also explain why we weren\u2019t able to confirm the cultural accuracy of similar hangover cures for Denmark, Croatia and Tahiti.)<\/span><\/p><!--CusAds0-->\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Below is a sortable list of the hangover cures from <em>Three Sheets (T.V.
